Flexible, blended First Aid & CPR led by a firefighter and Red Cross Training Partner. Get certified at The Family Centre in Kitchener, or we come to your workplace.
Blended or in-person First Aid and CPR, named the way WSIB names them now.
Start online at your pace, then finish hands-on with us. Public CPR & First Aid is one skills day: Intermediate blended, Basic, and CPR C together. Online material must be done before class unless you are recertifying (original Red Cross certificate that has not expired). Red Cross BLS is in-class only. Owner-operated. Frontline taught.
Hi, I’m Bryan — firefighter, professional medical instructor, Red Cross Training Partner, and owner of First Aid Works Inc. I’ve spent 10 years responding to emergencies on the front lines and have helped thousands of students and hundreds of workplaces across Ontario become certified in First Aid, CPR, and workplace safety. First Aid Works Inc. is owner-operated. I teach on-site across Southern Ontario, and when a larger group or multi-site day needs more hands, I bring in a small team of qualified contract instructors — including Cameron, our senior instructor. Every course is practical, engaging, and focused on building confidence, as designed by the Red Cross.

FAQ
Not sure which course?
Which course does my workplace need?
Most sites with 6 or more workers on a shift need Intermediate First Aid (the old Standard First Aid). Sites with 1–5 per shift can use Basic First Aid (the old Emergency First Aid). If you are unsure, tell us your headcount — we will point you.
Did the names change in 2026?
Yes. As of June 22, 2026, WSIB calls Emergency First Aid “Basic First Aid” and Standard First Aid “Intermediate First Aid.” Certificates under the old names stay valid until they expire.
Do you come to us?
Yes. On-site group training is the core of the business. We run WSIB-approved First Aid and CPR at your shop, office, plant, or school across Southern Ontario.
Is it blended or all in class?
First Aid and CPR C can be blended (online theory, then a skills day) or in class. Red Cross BLS is in-person only — it is not blended. Recertifying First Aid or CPR? Bring your original Red Cross certificate that has not expired.
Do you cover events?
Yes. EMR-certified responders and first aid attendants for small to medium size events, with professional kit. Festivals, sport, trade shows, and corporate days.
BLS or workplace first aid?
Workplace tickets are Intermediate or Basic First Aid (with CPR C). Book CPR C + AED if you only need CPR. Take BLS if you work in healthcare or as a professional responder. If your BLS is still valid, book BLS Renewal instead of the full course.
